The Requirements

To be a good fit for the Inspector opportunity:
  • If you have experience, great! If not, that’s ok too…we will train you!
  • Requires standing for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to regularly lift 10 pounds; Lifting up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Cleans work area on an as needed basis.
  • Takes pride in his/her work and strives for accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Previous experience in an optical lab production environment is a plus but not required
You need to know:

Inspectors work in our state-of-the-art optical lab with other team members to create eyeglasses which help improve the lives of others by improving their sight. Inspectors are extremely important to our process as all lenses must be met with our seal of approval before leaving our lab. It is an inspector’s role to make sure every lens that gets sent to our customers meet our excellence value of providing a high-quality, reliable product

You should be willing and able to work overtime as needed.

The Role

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
  • Ensuring quality of prescription eyewear being created in our manufacturing environment by operating machines and employees in a climate-controlled production environment.
  • Inspecting lenses and frames going through the department according to standards and guidelines
  • Inspecting the final product and ship to our accounts throughout the United States.
  • Communicating any abnormal performance or system conditions to the working leader or supervisor immediately upon noticing any issues.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?

  • First & Second Shift Opportunities available.
    • Starting rate at $12/hr- $15/hr depending on experience PLUS a shift differential of $1.00 for 2nd shift.

This will include changing from manual to highly automated processes. We'll provide training, but change will be ongoing, and your own role may evolve. We're looking for adaptable and flexible people who can excel in a fast-paced production environment.
